The new Tesla Model 3, which has a long-range rear-wheel drive, has been launched in the United Kingdom. It has a significant upgrade in performance and efficiency. This model of Tesla is on sale, and it is £5000 more than its standard version. It now offers a jaw-dropping 436 miles (701 kilometers) in a single charge, an increase of 120 miles over the previous model, which had 318 miles.
Its efficient long range allows you to cover long distances efficiently. It is considered one of the most energy-efficient electric vehicles, as it can achieve 4.96 miles per kilowatt hour (mpkWh). However, the question about which battery is used in this version has been left unanswered. Industry speculations suggest that the same battery pack is used in this new version, like Model Y.
Design Upgrades
If we talk about its exterior, this Tesla Model 3 has a sleek front with a redesigned bumper. It consists of low-profile headlights for better aerodynamics. Moreover, the Tesla Model 3 long-range RWD has introduced “Frequency Response Dampers,” which provide smooth suspension for better comfort. The tyres and wheels of this version have also been upgraded.
The car interior has ventilated seats and an acoustic glass cabin. All of its windows, including the windshield and front side windows, are made of acoustic glass. The rear passenger screen has been introduced to provide entertainment to the rear passengers. It comprises a stalkless steering with a thumb button on the steering wheel. Last but not least, the sound system has also been upgraded.
Tesla Model 3 Speed And Performance
The new Tesla is now available with two-wheel options, i.e., 18 inches and 19 inches. However, if you select the 19-inch wheels option, then the range can slightly drop to 383 miles. In addition, in terms of speed, the Tesla Model 3 RWD is not as fast as its counterfeit Tesla Model 3 AWD. It offers a speed of 0-60 kmh in just 4.9 seconds.
The car will not win in any drag race against AWD, and the counterfeit AWD can cover the same distance in just 4.2 seconds. Fast charging up to 250 kW is available for long-wheel RWD.
Price
The price of a long wheelbase RWD is £44,990. However, the standard version of the Tesla Model 3 costs £39,990. Tesla fans can start booking their orders now. Deliveries for the UK will begin in November 2024.
