With options spanning turbocharged petrol, petrol-hybrid, and LPG powertrains, the C-segment SUV is positioned to offer versatile choices to a broad range of drivers.
Dimensions
The 2025 Kia Sportage facelift measures 4,685 mm in length, 1,865 mm in width, and 1,660 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,755 mm. The wheel track is 1,615 mm in the front and 1,622 mm in the rear, providing a well-balanced stance on the road.
Depending on the model, the Sportage facelift offers alloy wheels from 17 to 19 inches in diameter, paired with tires sized 235/65R17, 235/60R18, and 235/55R19.
Power & Performance
Kia has redefined the powertrain offerings in the 2025 Sportage facelift, introducing a refined 1.6-liter turbocharged petrol engine, now coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission, replacing the prior seven-speed dual-clutch setup.
Available in both 2WD and AWD, this engine outputs 180 PS at 5,500 rpm and 270 Nm of torque from 1,500 to 4,500 rpm, delivering responsive and versatile performance.
For a more eco-conscious option, the petrol-hybrid variant adds a 65 PS electric motor with 264 Nm of torque, now featuring an innovative “infant mode” that softens acceleration to enhance ride comfort for young passengers.
Additionally, a 2.0-liter LPG engine variant is available, producing 146 PS at 6,000 rpm and 195 Nm at 4,200 rpm, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.
Style & Design
Coming Inside, the facelifted Sportage introduces dual 12.3-inch displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment, now supported by Kia’s latest ccNC software.
The system is compatible with over-the-air updates, enabling future software enhancements without visiting a dealership. High-end trims come equipped with a head-up display, adding an additional layer of convenience for the driver.
The steering wheel, redesigned with a flat-top and bottom structure, now incorporates touch-detection technology for lane-centering assist, which no longer requires active input from the driver to confirm attentiveness. Navigation is also enhanced with an augmented reality (AR) view, while adaptive cruise control utilizes satellite data for more precise speed control on highways.
Comprehensive Driver Assistance Suite
The 2025 Kia Sportage boasts an extensive suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including Highway Driving Assist 2, which combines adaptive cruise control with lane-centring and even enables automatic lane changes.
Additional ADAS features include lane-keeping assist, forward and rear collision avoidance, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance, and smart parking assist, among others, for a safer and more user-friendly driving experience.
Availability and Pricing
In South Korea, the 2025 Sportage facelift starts at 28,360,000 won (approximately $21,000 USD). The model is expected to arrive in right-hand-drive markets like Australia by Q2 of 2025, with its Malaysian debut anticipated later this year.
With this facelift, the 2025 Kia Sportage brings a blend of robust performance, refined design, and cutting-edge technology, setting a high bar in the C-segment SUV category.
