Celebrating his Olympic gold medal in javelin throw, Indus Motor Company (IMC) has gifted Arshad Nadeem a Toyota Fortuner GR-S. It is pertinent to mention that earlier, the company announced to gift the athlete a Corolla Cross; however, it upgraded it. In a social media post, the car assembler wrote that since 2023, Indus Motor Company has proudly stood behind Arshad Nadeem as he worked tirelessly to reach for the stars.
“To laud the young Olympian’s heroic victory, IMC presented Arshad Nadeem with its top-of-the-line Toyota Fortuner GRS as a gesture of appreciation at a ceremony at its manufacturing facility in Karachi,” IMC stated, adding that we’re proud to have him as part of our journey and look forward to driving forward together.
The top management of IMC, including CEO Ali Asghar Jamali, was present at the event. Jamali expressed his joy, stating that the company is thrilled to have Arshad Nadeem here. “Arshad’s achievement is proof of his hard work and dedication, and we are proud to support athletes like him who make our nation proud,” Jamali said.
Cars as Gifts to Arshad Nadeem
Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz gifted him a Honda Civic with the number PAK 9297 to celebrate his record-breaking throw of 92.97 meters. The car was gifted to him during the chief minister’s visit to to the athlete’s home. Also, the athlete e received a Corolla the Cross from the Punjab governor and a Suzuki Alto from a businessman.
Arshad Nadeem won an Olympic gold medal for Pakistan after 32 years. It was the first gold medal for Pakistan by an individual athlete after 40 years, making it a historic achievement by the javelin thrower. The competition was quite interesting for the people of Pakistan as Nadeem’s main competitor was Indian athlete Neeraj Chopra, who won a silver medal in the games.
