The Nissan 400Z Fairlady is the latest in a long line of legendary Z cars dating back to the 1960s. Known for its sporty look and performance, the 400Z continues this tradition while bringing modern flair. Sikander, a well-known face in bringing one-of-a-kind JDM cars to Pakistan, has aimed the Fairlady at enthusiasts who want to experience the thrill of driving a real sports car without losing out on comfort and practicality.
400Z – Overview
The Nissan 400Z Fairlady (2024 model) was officially launched in Japan on August 1, 2023. This release includes several variants like the Nismo and the Customized Edition. The Nismo variant, with enhanced power and performance features, was a highlight of the lineup, offering a thrilling driving experience with 420 horsepower. Additionally, Nissan will release a customized edition with a body kit inspired by the Tokyo Auto Salon 2023, which will be available as an accessory package later in October 2024.
Engine and Power
Nissan has equipped the 400Z with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that churns out 400 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a quick-shifting 9-speed automatic transmission, which purists will love, the 400Z delivers a thrilling driving experience. The power is immediate, and the acceleration feels natural, making it perfect for enthusiasts who crave speed. In Pakistan, where road conditions can vary, this car’s sporty performance capabilities are balanced well with practicality.
Exterior
One glance at the 400Z makes it clear that this car carries the Z family DNA. The retro styling nods to its predecessors, like the 240Z, while adding a modern touch that makes it look sharp and aggressive. The long hood, sleek roofline, and wide stance give it a classic sports car silhouette. The bold LED headlamps and the classic Fairlady Z badge on the back add to its appeal, while the 19-inch forged alloy wheels paired with ceramic brakes and low stance scream performance. Furthermore, at the rear, the lava lamp looks classic, with a diffuser bumper and dual exhaust system.
Interior and Features
Step inside the Nissan 400Z, the cabin feels driver-focused, with a clean and simple layout. The cockpit features a fully digital 12.3-inch gauge cluster with various display options, and the central touchscreen gives access to everything from navigation to entertainment. However the camera seems quite low-quality defying the overall vibe.
With ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation, blind spot monitoring, and lane keeping, this car gives edgy competition to the Toyota Supra MK5 and Mustang GT500 while costing Rs. 6.45 million.
