Changan unveiled its first electric vehicle, Lumin, at the Pakistan Auto Show PAPS (2024). The company hasn’t shared any specs, features, or price of the car; however, the officials of Changan told us that the vehicle has a “28kw battery with 300 kilometers/charge range and produces 83Nm of torque.” Discussing the possible launch, the official said that there is no immediate plan for the launch as the company will check the market and price bracket and then introduce the locally assembled units of the EV. Currently, the CBU unit is at display.

Meanwhile, here are photos of the car from the show:

International Specs & Features

Till the official specs and features of the car arrive, here is a recap of the international ones. As per Chinese media reports, the Lumin Corn mini EV comes in two variants. One is powered with a 35 kW LFP battery from CATL that generates 48 horsepower and has a range of up to 210 kilometers. The other is powered with a 30 kW LFP battery from Gotion Hightech that generates 41 horsepower and has a range of up to 150 kilometres. Both variants will have a top speed of 101 km/h.

Changan shared an animation video earlier revealing the Lumin Corn on its official social media channels. In the video, we can see the quirky details about the car’s exterior and interior. There are two doors, four seats, circular LED lights, pop-out door handles, an engine push start, an infotainment screen, an LCD meter, a climate control system, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and more.

We hope that Changan Pakistan will soon launch this mini EV in Pakistan because EVs are rage these days in the local market.
