During its Unpacked event in January, Samsung unveiled the official releases of the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra, while also dropping hints about the upcoming Galaxy Ring wearable. Since then, there has been much speculation about when the Galaxy Ring will be officially introduced.

According to a new report from Korea, the Galaxy Ring is set to be announced at the next Unpacked event, expected to occur in the second half of July, where the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 are also expected to make their debut.

The Galaxy Ring will feature ECG support, blood pressure measurement, and NFC payments. Currently in the prototyping stage, mass production is scheduled to commence between April and June, offering eight different sizes.

Apple is also making progress in the smart ring sector, patenting features for a potential Apple Ring. The market is currently led by Oura, but Samsung has the potential to make a big impact in the smart ring market.
