Meizu has confirmed that they will introduce a new smartphone on February 29, shortly after announcing their departure from the smartphone industry. The upcoming device, named Meizu 21 Pro, will feature a 6.79” screen, as shown in the first promotional image shared on Weibo.
The Meizu 21 Pro is expected to be the final product in Meizu’s smartphone lineup, as stated by the company’s CEO. The upcoming event is anticipated to mark a significant moment in the company’s history, signaling a shift from mobile phones to AI technology.
While details about the Meizu 21 Pro are scarce, the CEO mentioned that it will incorporate advanced AI features surpassing those of Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Huawei Pocket 2. However, specific information about these features is yet to be revealed.
There is curiosity about the level of support the Meizu 21 Pro will receive, as the CEO mentioned restructuring the FlymeOS team to focus on developing AI terminals for globally available LLMs like Open AI.
