In 2024, AI is expected to take center stage, surpassing the advancements made last year. Motorola has just unveiled a teaser video for the upcoming Moto X50 Ultra, with the highlight being the incorporation of AI technology rather than the Formula 1 car featured in the video.
The teaser video provides brief glimpses of the phone itself, showcasing a leatherette back and a camera positioned in the top left corner.
The video was shared on Weibo, and while the details are vague, there is mention of the F1 China Grand Prix (as Lenovo, the owner of Motorola, is an official F1 sponsor). The upcoming race in China is scheduled for April 21, suggesting that Motorola may unveil the Moto X50 Ultra around that time.
Last year did not see the release of an X40 Pro or Ultra variant, only the Moto X40 which, with minor modifications, was introduced to the global market as the Moto Edge 40 Pro. Prior to that, the Moto X30 Pro was released, later rebranded (with a few alterations) as the Moto Edge 30 Ultra. The X-series Ultra model is a new introduction to the lineup.
Rumors suggest that the Motorola Edge 50 Pro will boast a 4,500mAh battery with 125W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, similar to the Edge 40 Pro which offers a 4,600mAh battery with 125W wired and 15W wireless charging.
Following Moto’s naming convention, it is speculated that the Edge 50 Pro will have similarities with the Moto X50 rather than the X50 Ultra. However, this remains conjecture and anticipation surrounds the release of the first-ever Moto X Ultra.
