There is a lot of speculation circulating about Samsung’s upcoming foldable smartphones, making it difficult to distinguish fact from fiction. Will Samsung release two different models of the Fold6? Will there be a standard Fold6 and a budget-friendly Fold6 FE, or perhaps a premium Fold6 Ultra? The rumors keep coming, leaving us with more questions than answers.

A reputable source has recently shared details about the battery of the Fold6, although it remains unclear which specific model they are referring to. According to Ice Universe, the Fold6 will feature a 4,400 mAh battery with support for 25W wired charging. In response to a user, he confirmed that these specifications are final, indicating no further changes will be made to the device during its development stage.

If these numbers sound familiar, it’s because the previously released Galaxy Z Fold5 also featured a 4,400 mAh battery with 25W wired charging. This suggests that Samsung may not be aiming to improve the battery capacity or charging speed of its next foldable device.

Interestingly, other manufacturers like vivo have managed to implement larger batteries with faster charging capabilities in similar form factors. For example, the recently launched X Fold3 Pro boasts a 5,700 mAh battery that supports up to 100W charging. It appears that Samsung has chosen not to follow suit, for reasons unknown.

Rumors suggest that the Fold6 will be officially unveiled at the upcoming Unpacked event, likely scheduled for early to mid-July in Paris.
