Samsung has initiated the next phase of its Galaxy AI suite expansion with the One UI 6.1 update rolling out to the Galaxy S23 lineup (including the S23 FE), Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5, and Galaxy Tab S9 series starting today, on March 28th.

These devices will receive the Galaxy AI capabilities that were introduced with the Galaxy S24 series back in January. After the completion of the current rollout, over 100 million individuals will have access to Galaxy AI, as confirmed by Samsung VP Nick Porter in a recent conversation.

Over 100 million people will get Galaxy AI after the current rollout is complete

We inquired about the possibility of Galaxy AI features extending to older devices, especially in light of recent reports suggesting Samsung’s consideration to introduce them to the Galaxy S22 series.

Regrettably, we did not receive a definitive answer – Samsung is currently evaluating its entire product lineup and will determine whether to bring the complete AI package or specific features to additional devices on a case-by-case basis, with no specific announcements at this time. While there is still hope, further clarity may take some time to emerge.

Lastly, there is a commitment to add support for more languages to Chat assist and Live translate later this year.
