Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy M55 in Brazil. Unlike the usual trend of Galaxy M-series phones sharing specs with their A-series counterparts, the M55 brings several changes including a larger display, different chipset, and faster charging compared to the Galaxy A55.
The Galaxy M55 features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It boasts up to 1,000 nits peak brightness, an optical under-display fingerprint scanner, and a 50MP front-facing camera housed in a punch-hole cutout.

On the back, the Galaxy M55 sports a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, expandable via the microSD card slot. The device runs One UI 6.1 based on Android 14, with a promise of 4 Android updates and 5 years of security patches.

The Galaxy M55 houses a 5,000 mAh battery with support for Samsung’s 45W Super Fast Charging 2.0, claiming a 70% charge in just 30 minutes.
Galaxy M55 in Dark Blue and Light Green
The Galaxy M55 is available in Dark Blue and Light Green colors with a price tag of BRL 2,999 ($600) for the 256GB storage variant. The phone is currently up for pre-order in Brazil and is expected to launch in more countries soon.
