Apple has announced that there are now more than 1,000 apps specifically designed for the Vision Pro. The news was shared by Greg Joswiak, Apple’s Senior VP of Marketing, who also mentioned that there are over 1.5 million compatible apps for the headset.

These apps can be found in a dedicated visionOS App Store, and over 600 have been available since the launch, which was 12 days ago, according to reports. However, some major platforms like Netflix, YouTube, and Spotify have stated that they do not plan to create a dedicated app, meaning users must access their services through the Safari browser.

Despite this, the Google-owned video service later reversed its decision and confirmed that a Vision Pro app is now in the works. Some speculate that YouTube made this move after witnessing the success of the headset, while others believe it could be due to concerns about royalties being lost to a third-party app that users are paying $5 for.
