In Pakistan, the first thing that people worry about before buying any vehicle is its resale value. The irony is that we think of selling the vehicle first, even before buying it. Resale value matters a lot for our people, and that’s why you see Toyota as the #1 car brand, even though some would say their cars aren’t as valuable for money as other Chinese brands.

Here, we’re talking about bikes, so let’s see motorcycles with the highest resale value.

Note: You can buy any bike you want; just don’t buy the Pridor; it has the worst resale value.

Honda CD70

Resale after 2 years: 90-100%

CD70 - Atlas Honda

Here comes the OG and kind of the resale, CD70. Besides the economy and low maintenance cost, there’s nothing much to say about this bike, and these are the only two reasons people buy it.

If you buy this bike now, it’ll cost you about 165K PKR, and if you decide to sell it even after 2 years, it’ll still sell for 90-100% of its value. Yes, its resale value is that good. Even more, people call it a check that you can cash anytime from the used bike dealers.

Honda CG125

Resale after 2 years: 80-100%

CG125 Black - Atlas Honda

The CG125 is the only bike that has gained blind cult followers. If you see anyone riding CG, they didn’t buy it because they had no other option but because they only wanted a CG.

Although this is a vibration machine that vibrates like a generator, the seat is hard like a wood log with nothing fancy, and doing long routes on this bike is literally torture for your back. Still, people like it, and it has a blind fan following.

The reason is simple: Sound, Pick-up power, and Reliability! No other bike can offer you in this price range. Plus, it’s the cheapest 125cc from a reputed brand that money can get you.

Suzuki GS150SE and GS150

Resale after 2 years: 70-78%

These two bikes are mostly bought by people who do long tours, especially to the north side. So, anyone who wants to buy one will buy it because they have no other choice.

The torque, comfort, and reliability make the GS150 the best touring bike. Especially on the northern side, where torque is all you need, the GS150 wins that situation. Plus, if you compare it with other touring bikes, it’s the cheapest option that you’ve got in Pakistan.

Yamaha YBR125G

Resale after 2 years: 68-75%

360 YBR125G - Yamaha Motor Pakistan

It was all good until Yamaha increased the prices of its bikes in 2022. Now, this 1970s bike will cost you about 485K PKR, and if you decide to buy a used 2020 model, it’ll still cost about 280-310K PKR, which is still overpriced. That’s why people don’t buy this bike often and prefer to go with alternative options like GS150 or CB125F.

Suzuki GD110s

Resale after 2 years: 68-75%

The GD110S is an all-rounder 110cc bike specifically made for boomers who want only comfort and don’t care about performance or pick-up speed. This bike is a good package and does the job, but the problem is with its price tag.

This machine will cost you about 360K PKR, and this price for a 110cc bike is just too much and not worth the money. That’s why people generally don’t prefer this bike and go with YBR DX, and that’s the reason for its low resale value.

Honda CB150F

Resale after 2 years: 70-75%

CB150F Black - Atlas Honda

It’s all good and probably the most comfortable 150cc bike in the category. It’s sleek and stylish and does long tours of Northern areas. Not only that, it looks good; it’s a hot bike, and the speed-o-meter especially seems really cool.

The only problem is its engine, which is a design flaw. This bike’s engine is an oil-burning engine, and no matter what you do, this flaw will stay with you forever. That’s why its resale value is low, and people avoid buying the used CB150F just because of this issue.
