Recently launched Chinese electric brand Build Your Dreams – BYD has come up in Pakistan with its New Energy Vehicles (NEV) including BYD Sealion 6, Atto 3, and Seal. From the platform of PakWheels we bring you the first look and drive review of this luxurious SUV.
BYD Atto 3- Overview:
Atto 3 is a fully electric C-category SUV standing tall against its competitors, the Hyundai Tuscon, KIA Sportage, and Changan Oshan X7. BYD has taken inspiration from different underwater animals to make these cars. The majority of these have names like Dolphin, Seal, or Sealion. You will be amazed to see that not only do these cars have animal-inspired names but their characteristic features are also included. Like bumpers, front grilles or rear ends have similar appearances. Now, let’s dive into the technicalities of Atto 3.
Exterior
Although there is not much to talk about the exterior as, the manufacturer’s main focus is to prioritize comfort and luxury of occupants rather than glorifying the fascia. Still, on the outer side, the front end has bi-projector LED headlamps and continuously running DRLs. The front grille has a fin-line structure to improve the aerodynamics of this vehicle. SS styling, radar, and 360-degree camera are also included for driver’s utility.
Roof rails are playing an important part in all SUVs these days to add bulkiness. As you move towards the rear end, fins are added on the rear quarter glass, which comes with an added marine-styling feature. Besides, there are Atto 3 badging, parking sensors, and dot matrix taillights.
Atto 3 Is All About Interior
As soon as you slip into this luxurious Atto 3, its striking interior is going to inspire you. Overall, the interior gives the vibes of a gym. From dumbbell-style air vents to yoga mat-like dashboards, every component seeps energy. Using a neat combo of black and light blue with red stitching, bucket seats on the front, and plenty of cabin room are the main features you will fall for sure. The gear console is the prettiest thing you have ever seen, for sure. Airplane cockpit-like styling along with hard buttons, a futuristic steering wheel, a cluster panel with the highest visibility, and a panoramic sunroof are all the major features.
If you are a music enthusiast, you are going to love the guitar strings on the doors. The audio recognition feature and a rotating screen make you feel beyond tomorrow. A wireless charger, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a start/stop button are some other perks.
While its CTB: cell-to-body technology makes the driving part smooth, its advanced safety features ensure that you keep your safety first. BSM, multiple airbags, defogger parking sensors, collision warning, and hand brake will assist you. Moreover, three drive modes—Normal, ECO, and Sport—and spectacular noise cancellation make the drive of Atto 3 an enjoyable ride.
