BYD (Build Your Dreams), the leading manufacturer of New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) worldwide, has announced its entry into the passenger vehicle market in Pakistan in partnership with local company Mega Conglomerate Pvt. Ltd. This marks a significant milestone for BYD, as it expands into one of the largest markets in South Asia, offering innovative and sustainable solutions to consumers globally.
The signing ceremony took place at the BYD Asia Pacific Dealer Conference event in Xi’an, China, with Liu Xueliang, General Manager of BYD Asia Pacific Auto Sales Division; Zhang Jie, Vice General Manager of BYD Asia Pacific Auto Sales Division; and Aly Khan, Executive Director of Mega, in attendance.

Mr. Liu Xueliang welcomed Mega to the BYD family, stating that in 2023, BYD’s annual sales of New Energy Vehicles (BEV+PHEV) exceeded 3 million units, solidifying its position as the global leader in new energy vehicle sales for the second consecutive year.
He emphasized the importance of the partnership with Mega in Pakistan as part of BYD’s global vision to reduce the earth’s temperature by 1 degree, showcasing their shared commitment to a cleaner, greener future. Together, they plan to introduce innovative new energy vehicle solutions to accelerate the electrification of Pakistan’s automotive industry.
Aly Khan expressed excitement about the collaboration, aiming to drive the widespread adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in Pakistan. The opening of the first three BYD flagship showrooms in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad in 2024 will provide customers with access to BYD’s cutting-edge new energy vehicle technology and a unique retail experience.
