Marine life is the unique inspiration for BYD electric vehicles. This mega-brand launch in Pakistan has brought three major cars: a sedan, SUV, and hatchback under the badges of Seal, Atto 3, and Sealion. In this blog, we will take you on a drive of BYD Seal.

Killer Exterior

BYD Seal looks a lot like the Tesla Model 3. In Pakistan, if we compare it to its competitors, it is smaller than the Deepal L07 and larger than the Hyundai Sonata. It is a D-segment sedan, and ‘Ocean aesthetics’ is the new design concept that it embraces. Its sloping body shape results in a sleeker appearance and more performance. The distinctive double U-shaped headlamps and grille combine to form an X-shaped front end that exudes style and sportiness.

In addition to the ocean range, BYD added “scales” toward the C-pillar and “gills” behind the front wheels to create a flowing design that echoes the marine theme.

Futuristic Interior

As you slip into the Seal, comfort has been prioritized throughout its ergonomic engineering, and its leather paired with Alcantara finish and diamond stitching add a touch of luxury. The reason why it is called a Tesla killer is its 15.6-inch rotational infotainment screen, which hosts a plethora of embedded features like volume, AC, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. Seal comes with a Swarovski-style crystal gear lever, which adds a premium vibe to the interior. Along with that, the center console consists of buttons for start/stop and parking.

For music lovers, a woofer and DNY sound system are provided. Heated/ventilated front seats and a panoramic roof are some other perks.

Cell To Body Technology

One of the major USPs of this new energy vehicle is its cell-to-body battery technology. Through this technology, BYD has designed unique razor-type batteries and embedded them into the structure instead of providing a separate battery pack that divides the weight uniformly. This makes the drive smooth, enhances space, and improves braking.

NFC Technology

Another technology used in BYD Seal is the NFC technology. This Near Field Communication tech encourages keyless entry with the help of smartphone validation. This digital key feature can be added to any Android or Apple phone and can be utilized by keeping the mobile near the rearview mirror. This activates the tap-and-go experience and works best to personalize the drive. Also, this smart entry system ensures the safety of the vehicle and its occupants.

Sharp Road Performance

When creating the SEAL, performance has been given top consideration. With the 390kw (about 522 horsepower) electric motor and four-wheel drive, the SEAL can go from 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 3.8 seconds. This produces a thrilling driving experience that is ideal for your upcoming road trip.

The BYD lineup gains more capacity and range with the SEAL, boasting a remarkable range of up to 570 km thanks to BYD’s 82.5 kWh Blade Battery. Rapid charging can achieve a 10%–80% charge in approximately 37 minutes. This power outlet can also be used to charge other home appliances.
