Given the recent surge in the global energy crisis, car companies worldwide are showing a growing interest in green technology. Electric cars and two-wheelers are becoming more popular in the global car industry, making traditional ICE (internal combustion engine) vehicles somewhat outdated.

As Pakistan faces one of its worst economic crises with skyrocketing fuel prices, local car and motorcycle manufacturers are working hard to make e-vehicles the new norm.

Last November, we reported on Honda’s introduction of the electric two-wheeler BENLY e. The company unveiled the e-scooter during a ceremony in Sheikhupura, but did not provide details about the launch date and pricing.

In a recent update, Honda has made a bold move by introducing the BENLY e in Lahore. Customers in Lahore recently had the opportunity to ride the BENLY e and had a smooth and enjoyable experience.

Coming Soon?

There are currently no updates regarding its launch in Pakistan, as the company has not provided a timeframe. We will have to wait for updates and will inform our readers as soon as we receive any new information.

As mentioned earlier, the launch of an e-scooter by Honda in Pakistan would be a significant development for the motorcycle segment, as consumers tend to trust the Big 3 compared to recently established companies in the country.

Furthermore, it indicates that major companies are serious about moving forward with electric scooters and motorcycles in Pakistan.

International Specifications & Features

The key specifications and features of the Honda BENLY e include an 87-kilometer range, 180-minute charge time, and a top speed of up to 45 kilometers/hour. These are some of the global specifications, as Atlas Honda has not yet revealed any specifications and features for Pakistan.

“The company only unveiled the bike at the event,” a Honda bike dealer told PakWheels. Another dealer informed us that this was just a sample provided by the company, giving a hint about the type of e-scooter they will launch in the local market, but it may take some time.
