Changan Pakistan unveiled its mini electric vehicle, Lumin Mini EV, at PAPS 2024, organized by PAAPAM. Yesterday, we shared the news of its revealing, but the company didn’t share any spec sheet for the car. However, today, the car assembler has shared the brochure revealing its specs and features, and here they are.

The new EV will come in two variants, Lumin L and Lumin L DC.

Changan Lumin Mini EV – Specs & Features 

Let’s start with the exterior of the car.

Exterior 

The car is 3720mm long, 1700mm wide, and 1590mm high, with a 1980mm wheelbase and 150mm ground clearance. Furthermore, it comes with 14-inch street wheels with covers and a tire size of 165/70R14, and it has a seating capacity of four people.

Other notable exterior features are halogen projector adjustable and follow-me-home headlamps, DRLs, LED turn signals, a light-on system to locate the car from the remote, hidden exterior door handles, electric windows, and turn signals on side mirrors.

The available exterior colors are wheat yellow, sakura pink, mass green, mist white and magpie gray.

Interior 

The Changan Lumin Mini EV will have two interior options: light grey-orange and gray-black. Furthermore, the seat material is fabric. There is also a lever for folding and sliding the front passenger seat, a rearview mirror with light, a multifunctional electronic power steering wheel, a 12-volt power outlet, front and rear USB ports, and an air conditioning system.

The other options are a 7-inch LCD driving information display screen, a 10.25-inch infotainment system, keyless entry, Apple Carplay, Push Start, and a Smart Key.

Safety 

The safety features in the new mini EV include dual front airbags, a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), an automatic car door lock that automatically unlocks in case of collision, an electronic stability program, an Anti-Locking Brake System (ABS), EBD, Automatic Emergency Brakes (AEB), Hill-start Assist (HHC), a Rearview camera, and two parking sensors.

Performance 

The car has a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor with Front-Wheel Drive, producing 47hp and 83Nm of torque. Its maximum speed is 101 kilometers/hour.

The Lumin L’s battery capacity is 27.98 Kw, while the Lumin L DC has a 28.08 Kw Lithium Iron Phosphate battery. Last but not least, the company claims the maximum driving range is 301 kilometers/charge.

Charging Information 

The charging time for AC (0-100%) is 10.5 hours in the base variant, compared to 10 hours in the top one. Meanwhile, the charging time for DC (30-100%) is 35 minutes for the top variant. The DC charging option is not available in the base variant.

Both have Regenerative Braking and Eco + Sports drive modes.
