OpenAI has recently announced a new development in its efforts to make AI tools more accessible. ChatGPT can now be used without the need for an account.

With over 100 million users in 185 countries using ChatGPT weekly, OpenAI is aiming to attract even more users by eliminating the account requirement.

You can now use ChatGPT without an account

The option to use ChatGPT without an account will be gradually rolled out, so it may not be immediately available to all users, but it is on its way.

It’s worth noting that OpenAI uses interactions with ChatGPT to enhance its models by default. If you prefer not to have your conversations stored, you can disable this feature in Settings, even without an account.

If you do choose to create an account later on, you’ll have access to features like saving and reviewing chat history, sharing chats, and unlocking additional functionalities such as voice conversations and custom instructions.

OpenAI also mentions that they are implementing “additional content safeguards” to block certain prompts and generations in various categories, although details on specific categories were not provided.
