Another review, another SUV.

Cherry Tiggo 8 Pro is another hot hatch that is selling fast these days because it offers good seating arrangement, exceptional features, and reliability.

Purchase Decision

Fahad seems an avid driver. After experiencing almost all SUVs available in Pakistan, including Haval, Proton, and Kia Sportage, he finally landed on Cherry Tiggo Pro 8 in 2022. What made his choice easier was a test drive on which he took this 4-wheeler through different terrains, including rough patches and bumpy roads. After checking its suspension, driving posture, and assistance features, Tiggo was his final choice.

Design Philosophy

Like many other Chinese cars, the Tiggo also seems inspired by Porsche from the exterior. Its all-black star grill makes the front appealing, while Fahad has modified its front lip with a Civic bumper and uses side panels from Universe. The twinning exhaust also comes aftermarket inspired by Taycan. Jumping into the interior instantly gives vibes of Audi and Sonata.

This SUV looks modern and appealing, featuring a large sunroof, infotainment system, and SONY sound system. It offers decent storage space, great cushioning, and cabin room.

Its standout feature is its user-friendly voice command system, which helps users customize the settings with one touch. Fahad shared that the voice command system was also in Proton, but it was inaccurate and not easily understandable.

ADAS Features

Driver assistance features are a must-have in cars these days. Tiggo follows this rule and comes with Front Collision, Lande Departure Warning, Blind-Spot Monitoring, Door Opening Warning, speed limiter, Pre-Collision System, and Adaptive Cruise.

The best thing about these features is that they can be customized with rear and front and by using voice commands so you don’t have to dive into the screen every time you wish to stop them.

Performance And Maintenance

Featuring a 1.6 L engine and SUV body type, it has decent fuel economy. Since Fahad has taken it to northern areas, including Gilgit Baltistan, Nara, Babusar, and Skardu, he has measured that this one gives an average fuel consumption of 14 km/l on long routes while within the city, it is restricted to 9 km/l. It has a good pick-up and sprints from 0 to 100 mph in 8.4 seconds.

Also, its maintenance costs around Rs. 13,000 at every 5,000 km and Rs. 22,000 with engine tuning. Not only this, but its parts are also easily available at dealerships and aftermarket places.

While each car has some shortcomings, Cherry Tiggo Pro lacks a pedal shifter, ventilated seats, and a Lane-Keeping Assist System.
