Punjab government is making strides to bring comfort and smoothness for the daily commuters across the Lahore. With an aim to avoid traffic congestion and increased vehicular queueing on busy roads of the city, CM Punjab has inaugurated two projects in a day (Wednesday) including Controlled Access Corridor Closed Road Package-II and Ravi Bridge Expansion Project and the remodeling of Babu Sabu Interchange.

The Chief Minister stressed the importance of these projects for improving the city’s infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life for its residents. She directed authorities to expand the service lane along the closed road to ensure the convenience of surrounding communities.
Maryam Nawaz planted saplings and inspected the quality of work on both the Controlled Access Corridor Closed Road Package-II and Ravi Bridge.
The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) briefed the Chief Minister on the progress of these projects, highlighting the completion of the Niazi-Saggian Interchange and Saggian-Babu Sabu Interchange.
The Controlled Access Corridor Closed Road project now features a service lane on both sides, a repaired drain, and several vehicular and pedestrian subways. Additionally, a green belt and park have been established at Babu Sabu Chowk after clearing encroachments.
The Ravi Bridge Expansion project will benefit several areas in Lahore, including Shahdara, Kot Abdul Malik, Sheikhupura, Kalashah Kaku, and Lahore Ring Road.
The Controlled Access Corridor Closed Road project will also improve connectivity for Gulshan Ravi, Sanda, Chauhan Road, Saggian, Shirakot, Shafiqabad, Rasulpura, Bilalganj, Munshi Hospital, Amin Park, and other nearby settlements.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by several government officials and politicians during her visit. The projects are expected to significantly enhance Lahore’s infrastructure and improve the overall quality of life for its residents.
