MG5 is a recent addition to the electric vehicle market in Pakistan. To provide our PakWheelers with a comparison, we have decided to size it up against another recent launch, Seres 3. With a growing number of electric car options in the local market, consumers appreciate their low maintenance and suitability for city driving. Here are the similarities and differences between these two electric vehicles.

Dimensions 

The MG electric vehicle measures 4600mm in length, 1818mm in width, and 1543mm in height. In comparison, the Seres 3 is 4385mm long, 1850mm wide, and 1650mm high. Additionally, the Seres 3 is categorized as a B-segment C-SUV, while the MG5 belongs to the C-Segment Station Wagon category.

Power 

The MG5 electric motor has a power output of 115 kW, with a battery capacity of 61.1 kWh and a claimed range of 403 kilometers. On the other hand, the Seres 3 boasts a 120 kW electric motor, 49.34 kWh battery capacity, and a 403 kilometers claimed range per charge. 

The MG 5 comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, while the Seres 3 features 18-inch wheels.

Interior & Safety 

MG5 has fabric seat fabric, whereas Seres 3 has leather seats. Both models include a 10.25-inch infotainment system and heated front seats, as well as six airbags, Front Collision Warning, and Lane Departure Warning as standard safety features. Seres 3 also includes front and rear parking sensors, while MG 5 only has rear sensors.

Additionally, MG 5 EV offers Lane Keep Assist as an extra safety feature compared to its competitor.

Price 

Seres 3 is priced at 8,390,000, while the MG5 EV costs Rs. 13,490,000. This makes the Seres 3 a more affordable option compared to the MG electric vehicle.
