The quality and affordability of Japanese-made cars make them a popular choice. While Suzuki Alti has been a long-time favorite in Pakistan, there are now strong competitors like Nissan Dayz, Daihatsu Mira, and Vitz. In this blog, we’ll be sharing Abdul Rehman’s review of the Nissan Dayz.

Make, Model, and Variant

Abdul Rehman purchased a 2019 Nissan Dayz hybrid variant S in October 2023. Other available variants include Bolero J, Bolero S, Bolero X, X, and J.

Engine and Fuel Economy

The Nissan Dayz is equipped with a 660 CC hybrid engine and continuous variable transmission. It offers a fuel economy of 18 km/L in the city, positioning it as an average-performance car compared to the Suzuki Alto.

Exterior

The Nissan Dayz variant features a dual-tone exterior, LED lights, auto-adjustable headlights, DRLs, fog lamps, and front and rear parking sensors. It also offers good ground clearance, 56 Nm torque, and a power output of 48 HP.

Nissan Dayz Interior

The interior of the Nissan Dayz is spacious, with generous rear and front legroom and decent trunk capacity. It boasts a 3-tone color combo, push start, auto headlights, comfortable sofa seats, retractable mirrors, auto climate control, in-built navigation, seat reclining option, steering button screen control, an exceptional sound system with 4 speakers integrated into each door, and a speedometer offering both analog and digital readings.

Maintenance and Resale

The owner follows a maintenance schedule every 6,000 km, costing around 7,000 Rs including oil and air filter changes. Maintenance parts are readily available, but body parts can be challenging to find due to the car’s recent introduction in Pakistan. However, its resale value is on the rise due to its comfort and fuel economy.
