The Galaxy AI was first introduced in the S24 series, which was then extended to the 2023 flagship devices, reaching over 100 million users. The Galaxy AI features will be included in the One UI 6.1 update for these devices and will offer a range of features such as Circle to Search with Google, Chat Assist, Interpreter, Live Translate, Note Assist, Transcript Assist, Browsing Assist, Generative Edit, Edit Suggestion, and AI-Generated Wallpaper.

Samsung has announced that the rollout of these features will begin in early May. Users will be able to enjoy the Galaxy AI features for free until the end of 2025. It is still unknown which features will be premium in the future and what the associated costs may be.

A moderator on the Samsung Community Forums in Korea recently confirmed that the 2022 devices will receive the Galaxy AI update, which also hinted at limited features for some 2021 models. The moderator mentioned that the Galaxy S21 series and the Galaxy Z Flip3 and Z Fold3 will only get Circle to Search and Magic Rewrite features. However, this information has not been officially confirmed by Samsung via a press release.
