It has been previously reported that the Poco F6 is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, and now evidence has been found inside the HyperOS source code by the Android Headlines team.
The Poco F6, codenamed “Peridot” (and model number N16T), is expected to follow the footsteps of the recent Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro, which was the first phone to feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. However, the Poco F6 may be based on a different Xiaomi model, the Redmi Note 13 Turbo (which has yet to be unveiled).
The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 offers a unique combination of features from the 8 Gen 2 and 8 Gen 3 designs, though it may lack some capabilities found in both (such as no 8K video recording). Here is a comparison of the three recent 8-series chips:

Despite some limitations, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is designed for phones like the Poco F6, offering flagship-like performance at a more affordable price. The Poco F5 showcased impressive performance with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, outperforming the 7 Gen 3 chip that followed.
The Android Headlines team also uncovered details about the cameras on the Poco F6. The main camera is expected to feature a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor, similar to the one used in recent phones like the Realme 12 Pro and OnePlus Ace 3V. The ultra-wide camera will utilize the IMX355 sensor, while the selfie camera will use an OV20B sensor from OmniVision.
Display panels for the Poco F6 will be supplied by TCL and Tianma, though specific details about the display specifications are not yet available.
The official announcement of the Poco F6 is expected in April or possibly May. It is possible that the Redmi Note 13 Turbo may be launched in China before that. Rumors also suggest a Poco F6 Pro model, which could feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip (an upgrade from the 8+ Gen 1 on the 2023 Pro).
