The Poco X6 runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, which may not be as powerful as the 7+ Gen 2 but still provides fast performance for a €300 phone. It is complemented by a generous 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage. While there is no microSD slot, you can expand the storage by paying an additional €40.
Featuring a stunning 6.67” AMOLED display with 1,220 x 2,712px resolution, 12-bit colors with Dolby Vision, and a 120Hz refresh rate, the phone offers exceptional visual experience. The plastic body of the device boasts basic IP54 resistance. The camera setup is modest with a 64MP main (with OIS), an 8MP ultra-wide (118°), and a 16MP selfie camera. The 5,100mAh battery supports 67W fast charging, allowing for quick recharging times (78% in 30 minutes, 100% in 48 minutes in our tests).
The Poco M6 Pro, a toned-down version of the X6, operates on the Helio G99 Ultra chipset as it is the 4G variant. This model offers 512GB storage along with a microSD slot, combined with 12GB of RAM. The 6.67” 120Hz AMOLED display provides lower FHD+ resolution and 8-bit colors. The camera setup includes a 64+8+2MP rear camera system, lacking the ability to capture 4K video unlike the X6. The device features a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging, providing rapid charging times (71% in 30 minutes, 100% in 48 minutes in our testing).
Equipped with the Exynos 2200 in Europe, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE offers 4 OS updates (one already released) and 5 years of patch support. The 256GB variant is €60 more expensive than the 128GB model, both featuring 8GB of RAM with non-expandable memory.
The Apple iPhone 15 comes at a premium of €170 compared to the 128GB S23 FE model, offering a significant discount from its retail price at apple.com. Featuring a 6.1” 60Hz display, the device only provides in-sensor zoom on the 48MP main camera (contrary to the S23 FE’s 3x 8MP tele camera). Other camera specs include a 12MP ultra-wide and a 16MP selfie camera housed in a Dynamic Island (Apple’s term for a pill-shaped punch hole). While wired charging is not particularly fast, the MagSafe charger adds convenience with magnetic alignment and wireless power bank compatibility.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic, which may see a successor later this year, offers ECG, blood pressure monitoring, and a skin temperature sensor for health tracking (note: these features require a Samsung phone for functionality).
