Several retail locations in Europe have taken the first step and begun selling the Xiaomi Watch 2, which is a more affordable version of the Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro, despite Xiaomi not having yet formally announced the watch.

Two stores in Belgium are asking for €200, while a store in Slovakia has it priced at €250. The former seems to be the intended price, given that the Pro model can now be easily found for €230 (it originally launched at €270 for the Bluetooth model and €330 for the LTE one).

The Xiaomi Watch 2 shares the same 1.43” 466 x 466px AMOLED display with the Pro version, but it features a 46mm aluminum case instead of stainless steel. The watch is available in black and silver with a matching TPU strap.

Equipped with a heart rate and SpO2 monitor, built-in GPS, and a 5 ATM water resistance rating, the Xiaomi Watch 2 is further powered by the same Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chipset running Wear OS. According to Xiaomi, both watches offer a 65-hour battery life, pointing towards a shared 495mAh battery capacity (our tests indicated two full days were possible with the Pro, even with the Always-On Display enabled).

When it comes to connectivity, the Xiaomi Watch 2 supports Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi, and NFC, but doesn’t offer an LTE option. These differences, along with the case material, are likely the main distinctions between the standard and Pro models.

We’ll be keeping a close watch for an official announcement from Xiaomi regarding pricing and availability details (such as whether it will be available beyond Europe).
