Mehran has always been synonymous with affordability in Pakistan. Often chosen as a family car, this compact vehicle is frequently customized in various ways. Recently, we examined a 2001 model pink Mehran with surprisingly integrated features.

Decision to Purchase

Awais arrived at PakWheels Auto Show-Lahore from Sargodgha in his Suzuki Mehran. Its vibrant pink color made it a standout at the event. He bought it for Rs. 365,000 in Lahore and put in a lot of effort to modify it. Inspired by a Honda Civic Reborn, he decided to transform this hatchback into a similar version of the Reborn.

Customizations

The best part of this project was that it was completely done at home by Awais and his older brother. Since the car was initially stock, there was room for enhancements. Awais customized the bumpers, fenders, headlights, rear lamps, and fog lamps. While he kept the bumpers and front grille stock, he changed the fender arches.

He added a new spoiler with a brake light at the back and replaced the 12-inch rims with 15-inch ones. Despite the initial rims being smaller, Awais put in the effort to accommodate larger-sized rims. Additionally, the suspension was modified and the car was lowered further.

The Pink Wrap

Previously silver, Awais had a friend DIY a pink wrap for the car. Undoubtedly, this eye-catching color transformed the overall appearance of the Suzuki Mehran.

This customization exemplifies the love Pakistanis have for their cars and the time they invest in their maintenance and upgrades.
