Following the launch of the Galaxy S24 series, there’s a lot of anticipation about the early benchmark tests. YouTuber NL Tech posted a comprehensive video comparing the performance of all three Galaxy S24 models in popular benchmarking apps – Geekbench 6, AnTuTu, and 3DMark. The S24 and S24+ models come with the Exynos 2400 chip, while the S24 Ultra is equipped with the slightly overclocked “for Galaxy” version of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
It’s worth noting that all three phones are operating on pre-release firmware, so their scores may differ from the final consumer versions. Nevertheless, we get a good glimpse of the capabilities of the new Samsung chipset and how it measures up against Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
The CPU test in Geekbench 6 showed a slight advantage for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in both single-core and multi-core scores. However, the difference in the single-core department is minimal, and the Exynos 2400 had a small edge in the multi-core score. The GPU test also favored the S24 and S24+ models over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered S24 Ultra.

In the AnTuTu tests, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 inside the S24 Ultra came out on top, although the difference between the two chips was relatively small.
Furthermore, in the 3D Mark Solar Bay stress test, which includes ray tracing, the Exynos-powered S24 and S24+ models with their AMD RDNA 3-based Xclipse 940 GPU emerged as the clear winners. The Samsung-made chip also demonstrated slightly better thermal management.
Although the S24 Ultra had a slight lead in the Wild Life Extreme test, the Exynos devices delivered better stability during the tests.
Once we have the new series in our office, we’ll be conducting a complete set of tests, so stay tuned for that!
