The Samsung Galaxy S24 and S24+ phones will feature different chipsets depending on the market. Countries like South Korea, the US, China, and Australia will get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered Galaxy S24 and S24+ devices, while other markets will have Samsung’s Exynos 2400 chipset. The S24 Ultra will come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in all regions.

Both Samsung and Qualcomm’s flagship chips have similar features on paper, with Cortex-X4 prime cores, Cortex-A720 big and medium cores, and A520 efficiency cores based on the ARMv9 architecture. The Exynos chip has lower clock speeds on all cores and boasts two extra Cortex-A520 efficiency cores at 2.0GHz speeds.
The Exynos 2400 is built on the 4nm LPP+ process by Samsung Semiconductor, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is fabricated on TSMC’s N4P node.

Historically, Snapdragon-equipped Galaxy phones have offered better performance and battery endurance, but it remains to be seen if this will be the case for the S24 generation.
