A week ago, we were given our initial hint that the vivo V30 Pro was close to being launched, with a certification by the Bluetooth SIG. Now, the phone has emerged in the Geekbench database, showing off its Dimensity 8200 capabilities.

It is believed that this is the chipset in question. The V30 Pro was claimed to be based on the vivo S18 Pro, though the latter came with the stronger Dimensity 9200+ (and is only available in China).

It is too early to discuss the benchmark scores as they vary quite a bit even with just two runs in the database – one is 1,045/3,637 in single/multi-core, the other is 1,223/3,784. The latter is more in line with what we expect from the Dimensity 8200.

Either way, the phone was equipped with 12GB of RAM and ran Android 14. vivo already has a number of phones powered by the 8200, including the V27 Pro and V29 Pro from last year.

As for its siblings from this generation, the vivo V30 Lite arrived at the end of 2023 with a Snapdragon 695 and a base configuration of 12/256GB, while the vivo V30 came earlier this month with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and an 8/128GB base configuration (with options going up to 12/512GB).

The V30 is quite similar to the S18, though there are differences like having a 50MP ultra wide camera instead of 8MP. The V30 Lite has even more changes from the S18e, so there is a very good chance that the V30 Pro will differ from the S18 Pro in more than just the chipset.
