The Redmi A series is Xiaomi’s most affordable line of smartphones and is set to expand in size – quite literally, as the Redmi A3 will feature a 6.71” display, as shown in images provided to us by a source.
In comparison, the Redmi A1 and A2 both featured 6.52” displays. In addition to having a larger panel, the A3 will also be the first in the series to offer a high refresh rate – at 90Hz, although it is important to note that this series is typically priced at less than ₹10,000. In fact, the base A2 was priced at ₹6,300 ($75/€70) at launch (source).

The A2 only came in a 2/32GB configuration, while the higher-end A2+ model featured 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Looking at the other side of the box, the A3 will offer an option with 128GB of storage and 4GB of RAM, likely representing the highest specification model.
The design of the Redmi A1 was quite understated, and the A2 series continued this trend. The Redmi A3, on the other hand, boasts a striking camera bump that appears to be similar in size to the bump seen on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. It is important to note that, despite the size of the bump, the camera housed inside will not be comparable to the Ultra, as the previous models featured basic 8MP cameras with depth sensors. There may be an upgrade with the A3, but given the larger screen and storage options, it seems unlikely, given the budget constraints of the series.

We have not received any further information about the Redmi A3, but it appears that its launch is imminent, as the retail packaging looks ready to go.
