The Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department in Lahore has introduced a new mobile vehicle registration service with the aim of simplifying the registration process. This service will bring the registration process directly to people’s homes, saving them time and hassle.
The Punjab Excise Mobile Registration Service will begin operations on March 19th at the Bagh-e-Jinnah Quaid-e-Azam Library parking lot. It will then move to Liberty Chowk Gulberg on March 20th, and to the Fortress Stadium Lahore Cantt on March 21st. On March 22nd, it will be available at Johar Town Maulana Shaukat Ali Road Car Market.
In addition to the mobile registration service, the department is collaborating with the Punjab Motors Dealers Association to raise awareness about the importance of timely registration and transfer of vehicles. This will help ensure compliance with laws and avoid unnecessary fines or penalties.
This initiative aims to make vehicle registration more convenient by allowing people to register their vehicles without having to visit government offices or wait in long lines.
This mobile registration service is a positive step towards making life easier for the residents of Lahore and demonstrates the government’s responsiveness to the needs of the people.
Virtual Vehicle Registration Card
In January 24, the Punjab Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Department introduced a virtual registration card for vehicles. This addresses the longstanding issue of non-issuance of physical registration cards to new vehicle owners, who were being fined by traffic police for not having them. The launch of this digital card and mobile service will resolve this issue for vehicle owners in Punjab.
