Following the success of the Galaxy A54, the newly released Galaxy A55 has big shoes to fill. Samsung’s Galaxy A5x series is one of the most popular in the company’s lineup, alongside the Galaxy S and Z foldable series.
The latest model brings improvements across key features. The Galaxy A55 boasts a larger display, a more powerful chipset, increased RAM in the base model, and a sturdier and more premium build.

Many of the features that made the Galaxy A54 successful remain intact, such as microSD card support, a good primary camera with a decent ultrawide shooter, reliable battery life, and an IP67-rated build. This time, however, the A55 features an aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection.
But with fierce competition in the sub-€500 market in Europe and the around INR 40,000 range in India, the question remains: will the A55 stand out among its rivals? The landscape of midrange smartphones is constantly evolving, and it’s important to see if the A55 is worth the investment considering the advancements made by other brands this year.

The Galaxy A55 comes in a simple retail package, including user manuals, a SIM tool, and a USB-C to USB-C cable for charging and data transfer. Notably, a charger is not included in the box.
