After much anticipation, we finally have our hands on the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphone. The impressive flagship has arrived in our office, and before we hand it over to our review team, here’s a quick unboxing.

Our Galaxy S24 Ultra unit is in Gray, and upon taking the device out of the box, we immediately notice the new titanium frame, giving it a different appearance compared to its predecessor, which used an aluminum frame and was already fairly lightweight.

The box contains the smartphone, a USB-C cable, and a SIM tray ejection tool – no charger is included. Some retailers may offer a free charger, but this will vary depending on the market.

This is the fourth generation of Ultra flagships with the same camera layout, and the third in a row to use the droplet design with no camera islands. The S-Pen is still neatly tucked inside the phone for easy access.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra is slightly shorter, wider, and thinner than the S23 Ultra, but the differences are so minor that the phones can easily be mistaken for one another. The lenses protrude slightly, and the device has a slightly more square shape, but these are details that don’t have a significant impact in real-life use.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra universally uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, unlike its smaller siblings that use the Exynos 2400 in certain markets. While Galaxy AI is the big change the new series brings, the all-new screen glass that minimizes reflections could steal the show.
