Huawei is set to release the Pocket 2 this Thursday, as announced on its Weibo profile. The choice of date is significant – with the dual circles and the number 22, coinciding with the 2nd month. Unfortunately, it’s not a Tuesday, otherwise it would have been a perfect tongue-twister.

Huawei Pocket 2 is officially launching on February 22

The official teaser seems to confirm the leaked renders of the flip foldable design – one circle for the cameras and the other for the external display. The launch is earlier than expected, with previous rumors hinting at the Pocket 2 arriving alongside the P70 flagships.

In terms of specifications, very little is known about the new phone. It’s anticipated to feature a Kirin 9000S chipset, HarmonyOS 4.0 out of the box, and a larger battery. Hopefully, the company will reveal more details in the three days leading up to the launch event.
