At this time last year, as we reflected on the past 12 months and the challenges faced by Pakistan’s auto industry, one of the most difficult was the ongoing price hikes. Unfortunately, these challenges persist due to the country’s economic turmoil and the current interim government’s inability to guide the country through the crisis.
We are now seeing the first price hike of the new series. United Auto Industries has raised its bike prices by up to Rs. 18,000.
Here are the new United bike prices in Pakistan, effective from January 9, 2024.
New Prices of United Bikes
- The price of the US 70 (Standard) remains unchanged. However, the price of the US 70 (alloy rim) has increased to Rs. 114,500, up by Rs. 5,000.
- The price of US-100 (Special) has not changed, but the price of US-100 (Standard) has increased by Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 117,000 from Rs. 107,000.
- The new price of US-100 (Standard Special) is now Rs. 118,000, up by Rs. 10,000 from the previous price of Rs. 108,000.
- The price of US-100 (Standard Alloy Rims) has increased to Rs. 127,500 from Rs. 109,500, a difference of Rs. 18,000.
- The price of the United US Scooty 100 has not changed.
- Similarly, the price of the United US 125 has also remained the same.
The company has not provided a reason for the price hike, continuing a tradition of years past.
Analysts believe it will take the automotive industry at least two to three years to recover from this slump, indicating that price hikes will continue in the foreseeable future.
