Realme hinted at the upcoming launch of the Realme 12+ 5G in India last week, and today, the brand announced that the smartphone will make its debut in the world’s second-largest smartphone market on March 6.

Realme also confirmed that the Realme 12+ 5G will come equipped with the Sony LYT600 camera with OIS and 2x in-sensor zoom. It will also feature a Snap Portrait System, which Realme claims is the “first custom dynamic portrait capture system introduced in a smartphone.” This system optimizes the capture speed, allowing high-speed continuous shooting of up to 208 pictures per minute.

Additionally, the brand revealed that Realme 12+ 5G will have an IP54 rating and a display with Rainwater Smart Touch technology, making the smartphone easier to operate with wet hands.

Realme has not yet provided detailed specifications for the Realme 12+ 5G, but a listing on a Malaysian retailer’s website suggests that the smartphone will come with a Dimensity 7050 SoC, a 6.67″ 120Hz FullHD+ AMOLED screen, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 67W charging.

The retailer also revealed that the rear camera will consist of a 50MP primary camera, 8MP ultrawide, and 2MP macro units, with a 16MP sensor for the selfie camera. The Realme 12+ 5G will be unveiled in Malaysia on February 29, so more details about its specifications and features will be known before its India launch.
