Perhaps it’s finally time for vivo to introduce foldable devices beyond China. After a few releases limited to its home country, it appears that vivo may have had a change of heart, starting with the recently unveiled X Fold3 Pro.

Although the company has not made any official statements yet, the X Fold3 Pro has received certification in Indonesia. This is a common step before sales begin in the country, leading to speculation that the X Fold3 Pro will be available in countries outside of China.

This device would provide strong competition against Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold5 (and the upcoming Fold6 later this year) with its impressive specifications.

The vivo X Fold3 Pro boasts an 8.03″ 120 Hz LTPO folding AMOLED screen, a 6.53″ 120 Hz AMOLED cover display (both with 4,500-nit peak brightness), the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, a triple rear camera system (50 MP main with OIS, 50 MP ultrawide with autofocus, 64 MP 3x periscope telephoto), two 32 MP selfie cameras (one for each screen), and a remarkable 5,700 mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging support – all packed into a sleek 11.2mm thick body (5.2mm when unfolded) weighing only 236g. Quite impressive indeed.
