In India, Infinix is set to launch its budget-friendly Hot 40i smartphone on February 16. The phone will be available for purchase on Flipkart, which has already created a ‘coming soon’ landing page for the device.
The Hot 40i comes with a 6.56-inch, 1612 x 720 IPS LCD display with a speedy 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Unisoc T606 processor with an octa-core CPU and Mali-G57 MP1 GPU. The phone offers up to 256GB of storage space, with the option to expand up to an additional 2TB using a microSD card.
Infinix boasts of 16GB memory on the device, claiming it to be the highest in its price category. However, it’s important to note that only 8GB of this is physical system memory, with the remaining 8GB being virtual memory allocated from the storage.
Other highlights include a 50MP main camera, a 32MP selfie camera, a 5000mAh battery, and 18W charging.
When it becomes available for purchase later this month, the phone is expected to be priced at under INR 9000.
