Today, the global launch of the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R has been announced. OnePlus has emphasized the OnePlus 12’s extensive internal cooling system, and a new teardown video provides a glimpse into its actual size.
Prior to delving into the cooling system, the phone needs to be opened from the back using a heat gun. This reveals the 50W wireless charger, making it the fastest wireless charging phone in North America. The bottom speaker and battery are then removed, followed by the screen to reveal the impressive cooling system.
The cooling system is massive, consisting of two vapor chambers stacked on top of each other. This marks the largest cooling system ever integrated into a OnePlus phone.
During the teardown process, the cameras, fingerprint sensor, and intriguing thermal paste are also seen.
Although the phone is reassembled and powers on, the screen is damaged during its removal. The sacrifice of the screen was worth it to witness the impressive vapor chambers, wouldn’t you say?
