Honor released a new phone called the Honor X9b in India, the second model they’ve launched since their return to the country. The phone runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC and has a single configuration of 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It comes with Android 13-based MagicOS 7.2 and will be upgraded to Android 14-based MagicOS 8 later on. Honor has promised two years of Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates for the X9b.
The phone features a 6.78″ 120Hz 1.5K curved AMOLED screen with 1,200 nits peak brightness and an “Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop Display” that can resist drops of up to 1.5m. The display also has a centered punch-hole for the 16MP camera and a fingerprint scanner underneath. On the back are three cameras – 108MP primary, 5MP ultrawide, and 2MP macro. The Sunset Orange version uses eco-friendly vegan leather for its rear panel.
The Honor X9b has an IP53 rating and a 5,800 mAh battery with 35W charging support. The retail package will not include a power adapter, but Honor will be shipping the charger for free as an introductory offer. The phone comes in Sunrise Orange and Midnight Black colors and is priced at INR22,999 ($275/€260).
Honor Choice Watch
Honor also introduced the Honor Choice Watch, which has a 1.95″ 2.5D curved always-on AMOLED screen, heart-rate monitoring, blood-oxygen level monitoring, 120 workout modes, 5ATM water resistance, and a 300 mAh battery. The watch is priced at INR6,499 ($78/€72) and will be available from February 24.
Honor Choice Earbuds X5
The Honor Choice Earbuds X5 TWS earphones feature 10mm drivers, active noise canceling, dual-mic for environmental noise cancellation, and up to 9 hours of continuous playback. The earbuds will be available from February 16 at a price of INR1,999 ($25/€22).
