Introducing the OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition: Packed with Personalized Features and a Deluxe Gift Set

Genshin Impact made its debut in 2020, but it already feels like a timeless classic. The game has received numerous awards and in January of this year, it set a new record by becoming the fastest mobile game to reach $5 billion in revenue.

This brings us to the OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition, which draws inspiration from one of the biggest brands in the gaming world. While OnePlus has previously collaborated with HoyoVerse, this particular collaboration shows extra dedication and effort put into the design.

The unique design of this edition is themed after the character Keqing, featuring a stunning Electric Violet color and a special electro-etching process that gives the rear glass a soft-touch finish. The back of the phone is embellished with peacock motifs and Keqing’s signature Lightning Stiletto.

The stiletto design is even incorporated into the SIM ejector tool. The Genshin Impact Edition of the OnePlus 12R comes in a generous box filled with custom accessories and collectible items. This includes a violet 100W charger, a violet USB cable with a right-angle plug, a violet LED light, and a protective case featuring Keqing’s image.

Additionally, the exclusive gift box includes an acrylic stand showcasing the character, a pin, various magnets, and more. The premium for the Genshin Impact Edition over the standard version gives you a plethora of additional items, making it a worthwhile investment.

OnePlus went the extra mile to customize the software on the 12R as well. From the boot animation to the display and fingerprint unlock animation, everything has been tailored to give a unique experience. Moreover, there are exclusive wallpapers and icon packs that immerse users in the world of Teyvat.

Aside from the aesthetic changes, the software optimizations also include special enhancements for the game itself. OnePlus claims that this is the most extensively customized Genshin Impact smartphone to date. According to Kinder Liu, OnePlus President and COO, they have put in significant effort to ensure seamless gameplay with high-quality graphics for gamers.

There are various trademarked technologies and features aimed at optimizing the CPU, GPU, and RAM for faster performance, smoother gameplay, improved reliability, and quicker loading times.

According to OnePlus’ testing, this custom 12R can sustain an average frame rate of 59.4fps for over an hour while playing the game. The phone’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor is kept cool with a large dual vapor chamber with a total area of 9,140mm². It is accompanied by 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage (UFS 3.1).

OnePlus highlights that the RAM optimizations enable faster game loading and ensure that it stays in the memory for extended periods. The game remained loaded in the background for 72 hours even with six other apps running simultaneously.

The OnePlus 12R features a 6.78-inch LTPO4 AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,264 x 2,780px, offering 10-bit colors and support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. The typical brightness can reach 1,600 nits, with a peak brightness of 4,500 nits.

The phone’s 5,500mAh battery is designed to retain 80% of its original capacity after approximately 1,600 cycles, equivalent to around four years of usage. With the included 100W adapter, users can enjoy several hours of gameplay with just a few minutes of charging.

While the hardware specifications remain the same as the standard OnePlus 12R, this edition includes a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 112° field of view, and a 16MP selfie camera. Stereo speakers are also present.

In terms of connectivity, the phone boasts the same features, including the 360° antenna design with specialized gaming antennas to ensure stable connectivity regardless of how the phone is held.
