We were anticipating the release of the iQOO Z9 at the end of this month, given the Z line’s usual six-month release cycle. Although it has not been officially confirmed, the phone is getting closer to launch as it has been certified for sale in India by the Bureau of Indian Standards.
A previous Bluetooth SIG certification has revealed that the Z9 will have Bluetooth 5.3 and 5G connectivity. Some of its specifications have also been provided by a reliable source in China.
iQOO Z8
Digital Chat Station, a well-known leaker, has confirmed that the Z9 will feature a “1.5K” OLED display and will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. The phone is also expected to come with a 6,000 mAh battery, the same as the iQOO Z8x launched last year.
There was a previous rumor suggesting that the Z9 would be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 SoC. It’s possible that the Z9 Pro will have this chipset, while the Z9 will stick with the Snapdragon. We will have to wait and see what happens.
