In the midst of an impressive performance by Babar Azam in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), MG Pakistan’s poster boy, Javed Afridi, has made a significant announcement. Afridi took to Twitter to reveal that Babar Azam will be the first to receive the locally assembled MG HS Essence. The tweet stated: “MG gift for Babar Azam. He will be the first to drive MG Essence. Made in Pakistan.

Following his remarkable century of 111 runs in just 63 balls, Babar Azam, known for his elegant cover drive, continues to break records in T20 cricket. Afridi, in another tweet, lauded the former Pakistani cricket team captain, declaring this as the era of Babar Azam, asserting his dominance in the cricketing realm.

Babar Azam’s Car Collection

Babar Azam has a penchant for cars, owning a variety of luxurious and stylish vehicles. His favorite is the Audi A5, which he enjoys driving in Pakistan. Additionally, he possesses a BJ40 Plus, which he acquired during a series between Pakistan and Australia. Another sedan in his collection is the Hyundai Sonata, spotted during a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) event.

Last year, Babar received an Audi e-Tron GT as a gift from his family after a tour to Sri Lanka. His brother documented the car purchase process in a video, which you can watch here. The addition of the MG HS Essence to his collection will certainly be an exciting new asset. It’s worth mentioning that Javed Afridi owns Peshawar Zalmi, the team captained by Babar Azam in the PSL over the past few seasons.
