Recently, Nothing announced that the earbuds set to be unveiled on April 18 will be the Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear (a). The company is changing its naming convention by removing numbers that used to indicate the product generation.

Today, details and images of both earbud models have been leaked. Let’s start with the premium product, the Nothing Ear. Priced at €150, these earbuds are expected to succeed the Nothing Ear (2).

The new Nothing Ear will feature an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, with an IPX2 rating for the case. The earbuds are expected to offer 7.5 hours of battery life with ANC off, and a total of 33 hours with the case. Available in black and white, the Nothing Ear continues the transparent design theme associated with Nothing.

The cheaper option, the Nothing Ear (a), is projected to be priced at €100 based on the leak. Despite the lower price, users can expect active noise cancelation, dual connection support, and quick charging.

The Ear (a) earbuds are expected to have a battery life of 8 hours with ANC off, and the case will provide a total of 38 hours. These earbuds will also have an IP54 rating, while the case will come with a better IP55 rating for unknown reasons.

Available in black, white, and yellow, the Nothing Ear (a) earbuds in yellow are hinted to be more eco-friendly, although details are not provided to explain this claim.

Overall, the Nothing earbuds appear to be promising options from Nothing. We eagerly await their official launch next week.
