Recently, we came across the initial alleged iPhone 16 Pro cases leak, revealing the rumored Capture button on the side. Now, the non-Pro models have also surfaced with a new case leak. This leak showcases two cases meant for the standard models – the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus.

These cases confirm the long-speculated design change for the camera setup on the upcoming iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. The arrangement of the two sensors will no longer be diagonal inside a squircle-ish shape.

This year, the cameras will be positioned one below the other in a vertical camera bump, with the LED flash array centered to the right of the bump. The latest prototypes for the non-Pro iPhone 16 models feature two separate rings for the cameras, housed in a pill-shaped raised surface.

This design change seems to be inspired by the iPhone X. The aim of this reconfiguration is for the two models launching this fall to support spatial video recording.

Additionally, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are rumored to incorporate the Action Button from the iPhone 15 Pro, along with the pressure-sensitive Capture button speculated for the iPhone 16 Pro.

As we are still in the early stages of the iPhone design process, there may be changes before the anticipated September release of these phones. Keep this in mind.
