Last month, Samsung introduced its latest flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S24 series. Now, the company is focusing on developing the next line of foldable phones, which are typically released during the summer. Although it may be six months before the new phones hit the market, initial Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 renders have surfaced based on information obtained by OnLeaks.
The phone depicted in the renders bears a striking resemblance to the previous Fold5 and Fold4 models, with slightly sharper corners on the frame and completely flat sides.
The upcoming foldable device is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and Galaxy AI, Samsung’s proprietary generative AI technology.
According to the source, the Fold6 will sport a 7.6” foldable display and will measure 153.5 x 132.5 x 6.1 mm when unfolded, making it 1.4 mm shorter and 2.6 mm wider than its predecessor. The absence of an S Pen slot and consistent thickness hint at a similar internal design, including the hinge.
The outer screen is rumored to have a 6.2” display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and up to 2,600 nits of brightness.
Additionally, the source indicated that Samsung plans to launch the Z Fold6 with One UI 6.1.1 overlaying Android 14, promising users 7 major OS updates and 7 years of security updates.
