Earlier this year, Honor unveiled MagicOS 8.0 at a special event in China. The user interface is built on Android 14 and introduces MagicLM, an on-device large language model with 7 billion parameters that comes pre-installed on the Magic6 flagship phones.
Recent reports indicate that Honor has quietly started rolling out the UI worldwide. Several users from different regions have shared on the Honor subreddit that they are receiving MagicOS 8.0 updates on their Magic5 Pro devices.
One user, badday0401, shared the complete changelog, which includes images displaying the changes.
The latest features are categorized into 7 different sections. The updated interface is sleek and fluid, with noticeable improvements to the Home Screen through Magic Capsule and Quick Services – features that were missing in previous versions of MagicOS since Honor’s independence.
Users with MagicOS 8 will experience enhanced media editing capabilities, extended battery life with an added Ultra Power Saving mode, and improved security features like Parallel Space – a secure folder for apps, photos, and videos.
