Motorola is introducing a new chapter in its smartphone range with the debut of the Edge 50 Pro during a major launch event in India. This premium upper midrange device boasts the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, a 1220p AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, and an impressive triple camera setup.
The Edge 50 Pro showcases a curved 6.7-inch pOLED screen with 1220p resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. This panel offers 2,000 nits peak brightness and sets a new standard with Pantone-validated colors for more accurate visuals. Additionally, the display hosts a 50MP front-facing camera with autofocus and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

On the back, the device boasts a 50MP main camera with OIS and an f/1.4 aperture, a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 13MP ultrawide lens that doubles as a macro camera. The Edge 50 Pro also debuts Motorola’s AI Photo Enhancement Engine, offering optimizations for motion capture and color segmentation.
Software-wise, the Edge 50 Pro runs Motorola’s new HelloUX interface based on Android 14, introducing generative AI features for customizable wallpapers. Additionally, it supports Motorola’s Smart Connect, a new set of continuity features that work across Motorola and Lenovo smartphones, tablets, and PCs, with features for external displays and data syncing.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is available in standard black and lavender colors, as well as a limited Moonlight Pearl variant designed by Mazzucchelli 1849, an Italian design house.
Pricing for the Edge 50 Pro starts at INR 31,999 ($383) for the 8/256GB model and goes up to INR 35,999 ($431) for the 12/256GB version. Open sales in India are scheduled to commence on April 9, with the Moonlight Pearl edition launching on April 8 at 7 PM India time.
